Last week I went and toured an amazing venue in Vancouver, The Ironworks. My good friends Suzanne and James have chosen it as their wedding venue this June! This is probably the most unique venue I’ve ever seen for a wedding. It is an amazing old building filled with so much history, character and charm. Certainly not your traditional wedding location by any means, but if you want somewhere that’s going to totally intrigue your friends and family, check this place out! It was home to Vancouvers first Iron mill factory in the 1880s.
Now, it’s used for various events such as the Vancouver Jazz Fest, Art Exhibitions as well as for film and studio space. There’s even living quarters scattered discreetly throughout it. Original remains are from the Ironworkds are all over the place which gives the place a seriously rustic feel. Steel fixtures, vintage art, old tools, rusty old chains, rustic furntiture, 16 foot ceilings, giant skylights, exposed original brick all over, even the front desk is a gigantic old piece of machinery….there is so much to look at in this place. Totally rad venue. Oh, and its’ HUGE. 4 different sections to it and LOTS of room for up to 120 guests to roam. I can’t wait for the big event guys!

This is a picture of it back in the days of the factory! so cool
