I looooove thrift stores, love ‘em. Sometimes they can be full of a lot of junk, but beneath the old tattered, passed on items, there are always treasures to be found. I love sifting through all the goods to see what I can find that might actually be usable! Right now I’m on the hunt for a chair….something to use purely as a prop, but I have this vision of the type of chair I want and I WILL find it!
Today I stopped in at one my favorite thrift shops on Broadway. They have quite a selection of old picture frames, furniture, lamps and lots of old vintage clothing and jewelery. Today’s find was this amazing vintage womans hat that was made in italy probably sometime in the 50′s or 60′s. Super soft, in immaculate condition, and it even came adorned in beautiful jewels!
I can’t wait to work this into a few upcoming shoots.
