Well, hello blog world!
It’s been awhile.
some of you have asked, some have you wondered, some of you have just plain given up. I understand. I’ve been a bad blogger lately! I admit it. To be honest, I was kinda testing it to see if anyone would notice. Guess a few did.
I’ve been posting quite a few pics and updates over on my Facebook page, so if you haven’t “Liked” it yet, dooooo it.
Life has been busy. I’m shooting every week and in between, working on albums, invitations, thank you cards …all kinds of beautiful stuff! Also been working on a few big changes within the business – new logo, website, blog….a fresh new John Heil Photography….coming later this year.
Thanks to some amazing designers who are willing to work with my constantly “evolving” ideas, I think we are on our way. Wedding season is in full force and I’m absolutely loving my 2011 couples – having a blast shooting up a storm, capturing all kinds of beauty and love.
That brings us to the beautiful Lisa & Anthony.
What can I say about these two? well, they are beauty defined, both inside and out, and it’s been a pleasure to connect with them. When we first met up I remember Anthony being so excited about the photos, which for another guy, is exciting to me because often times the groom is more interested in his iphone than talking about photos. I loved the ideas they had and knew right off the bat we would have a blast together. They have this crazy intense connection and wow, I had no idea how much my camera would love them. They both claimed to be very camera shy but the second we started shooting and I could see the immediate results, I was floored. They both have these intensely beautiful eyes and when they look at each other, you just feel the connection. I hope the photos can convey some of this. We had a beautiful day, a tad windy, but who doesn’t love wind in a photo shoot to sauce things up a bit right? Lisa & Anthony wanted to bring along some cruiser bikes and wine, which of course I could never say no to. LOVE these bikes! I was stoked to hear their excitement when they saw these photos – Thanks for a an awesome shoot guys. Really looking forward to the wedding next month at Van Dusen Gardens!
