Last night I pulled my buddies Elise and Robby out and we headed out for an impromptu “just for fun” shoot down on the Georgia viaduct.

Jenny & her girls – Steveston Bridal Party Session!

Here’s another super fun session from the summer that I never got around to blogging. Again, it made to my Facebook biz page but not to the blog! Clearly if you’re not following that page, you should be! Darn you Facebook for making it so easy! Anyways……SOOOOO much fun on this shoot. Jenny contacted me last summer about doing a special bridal party shoot with her and her 6 bridesmaids. I was really excited about this one as I had never done a session like this but it sounded like a ton of fun. These 6 girls have a friendship unlike most I’ve seen. So solid and so real. They would do anything for each other and you can really tell. We had a blast on this shoot and I’m so glad they will have all these fab photos to remember such a special time in their lives!

So here we go!

Yes, I know this first iPhone collage has been done a million times, but it was so fun to do and the girls loved it!

Mary & Sean-1 Year Later Surprise Shoot

This was such a fun shoot! It’s an oldie from back in the summer that I didn’t get around to blogging, but it’s going up now! I photographed Mary & Seans wedding back in 2009 and it was such an amazing event! They are such a beautifully romantic couple and I just loved working with them. So, when Sean contacted me about 8 months after the wedding to ask if I’d be interested in a “surprise” shoot for Mary, I was so stoked! You see, after the wedding, they left Vancouver to live in Costa Rica where Sean works as a chef. Yep, pretty sweet life! They were planning a trip back to Vancouver and Sean wanted to surprise Mary with a photo shoot in their favorite part of Vancouver, Main Street. What a sweetheart hey!? Of course, I was all over the idea so we quickly finalized details about how everything would roll out. I showed up at their favorite restaurant, Crave, and surprised Mary during lunch! She was so shocked-it was awesome to see the expression on her face! We spent some time re-connecting over a drink before heading out to knock out some ridonkulous photo madness. We hit up some great spots around Main, including their favorite local video store, Happy Bats Cinema. Those photos are some of my favorites! These guys made shooting a total breeze-they just ooze love and emotion and capturing their special connection is nothing short of a great honour. I received the kindest note from Sean when they first viewed these photos that it almost brought a tear to my eye. They are just so sweet. I will stop babbling and get to the photos! Thanks for being so awesome and allowing me to capture your amazing love!

Girls and Their Boys

Yesterday I had an awesome shoot with 7 wicked girls! Jenny asked a few months back if I’d be up for photographing her and her 6 bridesmaids for a gift to them from her. Of course I jumped all over it! These girls were an absolute hoot to work with! Can’t wait to post more!

Oh, anyone wondering why the heck I haven’t posted anything in so long, well, it’s been a crazy busy month and sadly, the blog has been neglected! I was away in New York to shoot at a wedding at Boldt Castle, and then spent 4 days down in NYC. More on those coming soon!!! I’m off to Europe on Sunday for two weeks, so, you know what that means….blog posts will be slim, but I’ll try get in at least a few updates! For the daily giberish, feel free to follow me on Twitter!

Erin Frances: Musician Shoot

A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot with the fabulously talented Erin Frances of Vancouver BC. We rocked it out in a few different locations around Vancouver and did a bunch of different looks that she can use for various promotional materials. Make up was done by the awesome Chantelle Mathews. Styling and photography assistance provided by Jo Astudillo. I had a blast working with this team and was really happy to see the photos come to life!

A visit with baby Mason and family

Yesterday we had a great little visit with our friends Monique & Donnie and their new son, Mason. I did a fun newborn shoot with Mason over Christmas but haven’t seen him since then. He has grown so much in just a month! It was Kristopher’s first time meeting Mason and much to all our surprise, he is a total natural at the father thing!! Mason loved him! Kris did it all too….fed him, held him, burped him, rocked him to sleep, and little Mason just loved sucked it all up without a complaint. He is such a peach! and so darn adorable…..you could stare at his huge blue eyes forever – so cute!! Of course I brought my camera with me for the visit, so here’s some shots…

Meet Jason, Del-Rae and little Penelope!

A few weeks back this awesome family got in touch with me to schedule a family session. When they told me they wanted to shoot in their home area of Main Street, I was super stoked as it’s one of my favorite parts of the city! Del-Rae is part of an awesome little Vancouver group known as Moms On Main and was referred to me by another mom from the group, Jocelyn. I shot Jocelyn and her gorgeous little son, Logan a few months ago! I had a great time wandering the Main street area and super happy to share these photos! Enjoy!
