It’s that time of  year again!

I’m SUPER stoked to start up the Cans For Comments again this year. This will be my third year participating in this great initiative and I’m excited to see how far it reaches this year! Here’s how it works: For every comment I get on the blog over the next 4 weeks, I will donate a can of food to the Vancouver Food Bank.  That’s it! That’s all you gotta’ do. 10 seconds out of your day to leave a bit of love on the blog and you’ve donated to a great cause.

So go ahead, clickety click click! Leave as many comments as you want and let’s rack up the cans!

Last year I had a decent load of cans to take the bank, but I’d love to double it or even triple it this year. SO, you know what that means!! I’ll be posting as many entries as possible this month to try and keep the comments flowing. The more we can donate, the better!

I just can’t even imagine how astronomically (no pun intended) breathtaking it must be to see the earth from that view point. Seeing the planet as a tangable piece of the universe, almost reaching out to it, would just be so amazing. I love following some the of the great space shots that NASA posts publicly each week, but it was a  truely awesome surprise to get this email from Melanie and Stephen today. Thanks guys!!  Next weekend I’ll be shooting their wedding at beautiful Hatley Castle in Victoria BC and I’m super stoked for this event.  The castle is an incredibly spectacular piece of architecture and I cant wait to create some gorgeous and dynamic photos there! Looking forward to your big day!

They rock!! get this-they have a microchip in them that communicates with my iPod and tracks distance, pace, calories, time and my favorite workout music (all shows up on a menu in the ipod)! It’s got distance timers, countdowns, calorie goals…..Holy futurama batman. I didn’t even know such a thing existed until the guy at the store told me the shoes I liked most had this chip thing. It sits in the left shoe under the sole and I can remove it anytime if I decide to stop using it. So cool! And there’s this cool voice that comes every .5km to update you with the distance you’ve gone and then it counts down the last 500 meters every 100 meters if you’ve set a distance goal. You can set it to a woman or mans voice and it sounds like a real voice…..kinda startled me a few times actually! lol  Seriously amazing runners if you are looking for some new sneaks!
